You might have read that truckers get paid for driving time, and never for waiting time. And truckers spend a long time waiting to load and unload material. This, along with regulations such as hours of service reduce the number of driving hours and therefore the money truckers can make. (People still wonder why there is a shortage of truckers!)
Wait times vary between rigid trucks and tractors (as in tractor trailers). Tractor trailer drivers have it a bit better because they can haul in a trailer, leave it on the yard, drive around pick another trailer and be on their way. Rigid drivers however does not have this flexibility. They have to wait for their turn and then wait more to load and / or unload. Another factor that causes delay is load building and loading times.
This product effectively unlinks the load from the carrier and leaves the carrier free to continue driving by allowing fast loading/ unloading of containers – and maybe even allow for better load building. Like all great ideas, the fundamentals are rather straight forward: This product uses slip-sheets to allow super-fast loading/ unloading times.
